Mens

The majority of the Men’s competitions are held over the summer, but the Winter months include the Winter League. On every Wednesday & Saturday there is a club competition, usually stableford. Sunday mornings see a drawn members competition.

Ladies

A friendly and welcoming section with many opportunities for lady players. On Tuesday mornings we hold a variety of 18 hole drawn competitions (medal, par, stableford, foursome and greensome) including 36 hole and 18 hole championships. 9 hole players are welcomed to play behind the field so that we all get together for lunch.
There are many opportunities for ladies to play at other island clubs in friendlies, opens and events run by the Isle of Wight Ladies.Golf Association.
Our vibrant fundraising and social team works hard to develop new initiatives that support the Captain’s Charity and to create enjoyable social events for all our ladies to take part in.
We are proud to hold the Women in Golf Charter, and all our members are committed to ensuring the ladies’ voice is represented within the club. We run regular beginner courses with our Club Professional, and in 2026 we will be launching an Academy Coaching Programme open to both members and non-members.
We are always delighted to welcome new members.

Seniors

We are a friendly group of around 70 members. We have our regular seniors mix and match on Monday mornings
with ever changing formats such Stablefords, Bowmakers, 3-2-1,Texas scramble etc.  There are interclub matches involving all the other clubs on the Island, with friendly rivalry and a chance to make new acquaintances.  We partake in mainland matches spanning across Hampshire, inviting those teams back to Osborne. There's a great camaraderie amongst the membership including social events such as Christmas dinner and get togethers.

Juniors

Our Junior Section is currently being revitalised, with exciting plans in place for 2026. Our aim is to grow a strong and active group of U15 members, offering structured coaching, fun competitions, and engaging social events.

We already have a dedicated coach in place and approximately 20 enthusiastic young golfers ready to take part. Ahead of the summer season, we will be appointing a Junior Captain, who will act as a friendly point of contact for all juniors, including those who are new to the club.

We warmly welcome new Junior members who are keen to learn and enjoy the game. Juniors at Osborne Golf Club will have access to coaching sessions, opportunities to gain a handicap, and—most importantly—a welcoming environment filled with friendship and fun.

If you are interested in joining or would like more information, please contact the Club Manager, who will be happy to connect you with the relevant Junior Section leads.
